Celebrating Robert

Today, we’re celebrating the end of a remarkable employee journey at Walford Timber.

Starting as a trainee saw doctor in 1982, Robert progressed to become a fully qualified saw doctor and machine operator. As Robert embarks on a well-deserved retirement, we mark the culmination of an extraordinary legacy — 71 continuous years of service by his family at Walford Timber.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Bob, who joined in 1952, Robert joined the team only a week after turning 16. The impact he and his family have made on Walford Timber is truly incredible, leaving behind a lasting imprint on our company’s history.

In a heartfelt goodbye, we were delighted to reward Robert for all his efforts with gifts and a special presentation at our Christmas party. Thank you, Robert, for your long and loyal service of hard work and dedication.
