75mm x 125mm Incised Treated Wooden Fence Posts
Discover Walford Timber’s 75mm x 125mm incised treated…
For the best possible quality, choose pressure treated rails with PermaTimber® Posts. Post and Rail fencing creates a rural look typically found in country properties and those with large gardens, fields or paddocks as well as agricultural and equestrian premises.
Post and rail timber fencing is often used to mark a boundary or restrict the movement of animals.
Installed for its strength, it provides a low-cost option when you don’t want to restrict the view of your surroundings.
Looking for a square cut finish? We recommend our PermaTimber® posts and rails that can be sawn to create straight edges. All of our PermaTimber® products are made from FSC certified timber and come with a 15-year guarantee. Our 38mm x 88mm fencing rail is also sometimes referred to as a motorway rail.
In addition, we also offer half round rails and round timber posts, stakes and strainers. Our timber posts are made from FSC certified timber and are tanalised for long life and durability. Our unique D shape rail also makes an ideal hand rail as well as a fence rail.
We recommend nailing your wooden fence rails to intermediate posts at 1.8m centres. The joints should also be staggered to ensure even distribution of the fence’s weight.
Alternatively, another popular installation method is to set the posts at 3.6m centres with a post in the centre of the bay, pointed and driven into the ground. The rails should be nailed to it, to help stop the rails from bowing.
Timber rails tend to be fixed with nails and if you are using the fence to restrict the movement of animals, we would recommend nailing the rail from behind so that the rail can be pushed into the nail if an animal leans against it.
Making a pet or small animal enclosure? Try adding galvanised wire stock fencing to your post and rail fencing. This method also provides support and protection for new shrubs and hedges in gardens.
In addition to quality palisade fencing panels, we also offer all the materials, tools and treatments you need to ensure a professional installation.
We are always happy to offer advice on making the right timber purchase for your requirements. We can also put you in touch with a local installer or contractor who can manage the installation work for you.
